for Economic Analysis

Research for a sustainable world

The Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis (RCEA) is a private, international non-profit organization dedicated to independent research in Applied Economics, Theoretical Economics, and related fields.  It was initially located in Rimini, Italy, where some of the founding trustees and scholars have special ties.

Marcelle Chauvet (University of California Riverside) is the Director of RCEA-Headquarters and Claudio Morana (University of Milano-Bicocca) is the President and Director of RCEA-Europe ETS and the Deputy Director of RCEA-Headquarters. The Scientific Committee is the governing body of the Centre.

The fundamental goal of RCEA is to further advanced research in Economics, Econometrics, and related fields and to promote contact among economists, econometricians, and scientists from other fields and policymakers worldwide. Through this activity, the RCEA can contribute to the progress of the highest quality scientific research and draw analyses and policy recommendations on the full range of economic and related issues. In this respect, RCEA's mission is particularly concerned with raising awareness and stimulating discussion on the changes required to make our economies sustainable along the economic, environmental, human, social, and political dimensions: We are committed to Research for a Sustainable World.

RCEA is the outcome of collaboration between economists from around the world and a group of eminent trustees from academia, banking, government, and industry. There are now over 250 RCEA Fellows. RCEA fellows have experience in academia and/or government and may hold different points of view on economic, political, and social issues. Research at RCEA is conducted to enlighten scientific and public debate on economic and financial issues and not to advance any economic, political, or social agenda.

RCEA offers a complete set of network activities to its members, from the publication of research papers in its working papers series and the Network Journal: The  Review of Economic Analysis (REA), to the participation and organization of scientific events.

RCEA  has fourteen research groups in various fields and organizes several annual conferences, workshops, webinars, and a biennial conference alternating between North America and Europe.
